Priorities

Wellington Station

Since receiving assurances from the Chancellor that the Wellington Station project would be going ahead, it has since been placed under review. With a fantastic business case and opportunity to boost economic growth in Wellington I am working to make the station a reality.

Musgrove Park Hospital

The wait is over for the announcement on the future of the new Maternity and Paediatric Unit, but we cannot afford to wait until the 2030s to see action. I am pressing for remedial works as a matter of urgency to improve working conditions for staff and better conditions for patients.

Wellington Post Office

For a town of Wellington's size, it is ridiculous that there is no Post Office. With the new permanent Banking Hub in place, I am calling for a Post Office and exploring solutions to make this happen. I have also launched a petition to take to Parliament.

Broadband

The failed Airband rollout has left many unsure of who is responsible for connecting them and what the timeframes are. I am working to get answers on 'project Gigabit' and what this means for residents of Taunton and Wellington.

Bus Services

Many people have written to me about bus services across the constituency, from the inadequacy of existing bus services that cause people to miss hospital appointments to the lack of connection to certain areas, I want to see Taunton and Wellington better connected.

Waterways

From unlocking Taunton's potential, to cleaning up our rivers, waterways are an area that needs attention. I am calling for an approach that can bring opportunities for economic growth, and protect the environment.
